Jasmine's History

Jasmine graduated from Pete Knight High School in Palmdale, California where she found her passion for broadcast journalism her senior year. In her last semester, she did the announcements for her video production class and right there and then she knew what she wanted to be.

After High School, Jasmine enrolled at Antelope Valley Community College in Lancaster, California. During a few years working on her general studies, she met her significant other and married in 2014. Jasmine cited in North Carolina for three months until the U.S. Army sent the two to live in Germany for three years. While in Germany, Jasmine wanted to progress her education to finish her associates degree. When they both moved back to the U.S. Jasmine enrolled in Central Texas College to complete her associates degree in Killeen, Texas. She had the opportunity to take some communication courses like video production, news announcing and writing for news and radio.

When her husband re-enlisted to be a Drill Sergeant in Missouri, this was Jasmine's chance to go for her bachelors degree in broadcast journalism at Missouri State University. 

While attending MSU, Jasmine interned at KOLR 10 News and landed her first news job with the news station as their digital web producer. However, Jasmine found her passion for lifestyle journalism when she interned as the entertainment news correspondent at Ozarks FOX AM.

She also had the opportunity to report on entertainment news as an on-air personality at KFLW 98.9 "The Fort" in St. Robert, Missouri with her segment called "The Fort Entertainment Report".

During her internship at the radio station, Jasmine was six months pregnant. After completing her internship she focused on finishing school and giving birth to her first child. Right before completing her bachelors degree, she welcomed her baby girl into the world. With all her hard work and consistency on completing her accomplishments Jasmine believes anything is possible as long as you are ambitious.
